Quick Scope Sighting

I am sick and tired of not being taken seriously in this group. It may be time I hang up old Vera (that's for you Dio).

I am able to do it but rarely use it. Maybe one time per month when I'm in a tricky situation do I even bother to do it.

Strafe/Slide Scoping is my preference since I rely more on my reaction time than the "quick scope".

exactly. I think I only quickscoped once when a prone support was unloading a clip into my back lol. It's really not necessary, but I guess if you do it enough to where it's automatic for you, it will help you a bit i guess. As for me, all I've ever done is that sliding thing Duality and RP are talking about, if you time it perfectly as you round a corner its amazingly fast (but I guess you could also do that with quickscoping).

Ready for drama? Mmm I love stats. Obviously different maps are going to modify each players' stats but as a general rule if your numbers are approaching numbers like these then you're probably pretty good. Sorted by Accuracy (% of shots that hit), shots per kill (the sniper's total shots divided by kills with the weapon) and finally damage per hit (based on where the shot lands (higher is better)). This can't be a definitive way to measure skill but it is interesting, also note this is NOT how I would rank these snipers, it's just where these numbers fall. Enjoy!

P.S. Bill I was going to add yours but you only have 17 kills for the K98 and 0 with the Spring. His K98 is: 54.5% 148.3 1.9

I don't normally snipe, only if the other team has an mg or sniper that I can't seem to kill with a rifle (very few lol)

(oh, i sniped yesterday. those stats went down lol)

As you can see, I like to shoot.... alot. Random kills through smoke is the best!!!! hahah

Just ask flash players, I'm the only sniper that constantly asks for ammo... only thing is its my curse. Once I ask I die.

Please don't go teaching people how to snipe better, life as Assault is tough enough as it is.

I'm surprised Hill Jack's not on the list, maybe less now, but back awhile that guy was quite an aggressive sniper. He'd clear out the way to the second on flash like none other with that springfield.

Ever since I got my new computer, sniping has been so much fun, but unlike everyone I see on the list, I don't camp and snipe. I move up a lot, get killed a lot, kill a lot of bloody mgs and the like. However, I've never quickscoped, didn't even know how to. I just scope in as i strafe, take a shot, and quick switch to pistol. I've found this most effective in DoD, cause sniping one guy usually leads to a nasty auto coming at you, and having that pistol ready is imperative.

you're going to be fun to hunt .

But seriously, I think we'd all kind of resent that. I've seen Spray snipe inside the wheelhouse, Blue fidget-peek corner after corner, and me? Try to keep me off the front line. Of course, now I take it upon myself to re-educate you on sniping and the snipers of eGO. No worries, we'll have you edit that post in no-time :scared:

What are these techniques and methods with shift scope that I have never heard of. I thought all you need to do as as sniper is just scope and shoot. I would think it has more to do with your position and reflexes then these techniques.

it does have a lot to do with position, but if you dont fantastic reflexes youre going to need at least some techniques to get you to the next level. Personally, my reflexes aren't worth a damn, but I like to think i still do ok with a sniper every once in a while

Seasons don't fear the reaper, but you will fear my no scope!

I've played with a lot of eGO guys and I don't think you can deny the camping. Of course, that's more how sniping actually is, I just get bored doing it myself. Look at duality, kirk, and hill jack, and bush quayle. Everytime they're on with a sniper, I know 2, maybe 3 places they'll be everytime, and I just avoid accordingly. They're incredible at what they do, it's just not for me.

I don't think I've ever played with you, at least not with you sniping. Come to think of it, I remember Spray moving around quite a bit on Flash.

Ron does not 'camp' when he snipes and he is excellent at it. Fricken freak should be locked in a cage at a carnival so small children can throw candy at him. :)
