i found 1 big improvement it uses webkit to render all web content now even with the ingame browser. so now the ingame browser can render pages properly since they dropped IE's crappy as hell trident rendering engine.

+1. Totally agree! Im ready to change the darn color. Gray/obsidian or w/e the color is is just too plain, but I can wait for it to get outta beta.

100% agree. Besides these nice new graphics and all the features, the new browser blows the old IE one off the planet.

Overall, this could be valve's biggest update ever. And best

I tried it, but don't like it too much. Seems too cluttered. Now I reverted back and have to redownload MW2 for some reason ><

This Beta is extremely good. I recommended it to any one. And Trix, like Simon said new "interfaces" can be downloaded at any time. Also to clear up any doubts this beta update DOES NOT get rid of your friends list. I heard rumors about it...

People thought that earlier when Steam took down their friends list for a while to update everything for the beta. Everyones lists should be fine now.



This is NOT steam with a new theme. If you read through the entire page or the link I posted, you will see they practically gutted the client and redid it.


Anyone who says this beta didn't change anything, you are out of your mind

If you get the cannot connect to steam delete the blob file in the steam folder and restart steam
