Axis or Allies?

Now DoD:S seems to me like it was made to be balanced, we all know that it is not. In my opinion the Wermacht is much better when it comes to weapons (explanation below). What is your opinion, and I don't want to hear people saying America because you are American, think about it from a purely tactical standpoint.

Axis Rifle vs. Allied Rifle
One shot kill bolt action vs. multi shot kill semi auto
Axis MG vs. Allied MG
Higher ROF and better accuracy vs. low ROF and medium accuracy
 
have to say i prefer the 30 cal over the mg42.

the 30 cal has higher accuracy and doesnt overheat while still having a high ROF.

mg42 on the other hand, its very easy to get sniped, it can take many shot at long range to actually hit what your aiming at, and overheating is a HUGE disadvantage on a map like flash when as soon as you stop shooting your most likely dead
 
If I go by the feel of the Axis weapons vs. the Allies weapons I too think the Axis guns are slightly better. I do not base this on any actual weapon stats, but how they play for me.
 
I enjoy the thompson more than the mp40, but it seems as though the MP44 is more controllable than the BAR imo.
 
Well it depends on how good u are on the weapons not the weapons power u could have weakest gun and be L337 at it and kill everyone with any weapon so i beleive its balanced in my opinion
 
my personal preference is for the allied weapons...i used to kinda lean more toward the stg44 and mp40...but now that ive learned how to use the BAR and M1 effectively...cant beat em...wish the BAR had a bigger clip...but thats about the only negative side i see to it for myself personally...
 
It's not the weapon that wins the game whatever your prefference is it's the team
who pushes harder. I find for some unknown reason the Allie's tend to camp alot so loose most of the time.

but i gotta agree with canadian because if you stick someone of equal skill behind each class and have them face off, one guys gonna win

yup i would have to agree with this basically. I did read somewhere that the bar and stg44 are programed exactly the same in terms of recoil accuracy and damage, however as you all know the stg44 has like twice the rounds per magazine.
 
I agree that the K98 sniper reloads faster. As for everything else, doesn't matter how much the gun is better than the other it depends on whose wielding it.
 
There are good weapons on both teams.

I prefer the,

K98 over the M1
Tompson over the mp40
STG44 over the BAR
fist over the shovel anyday (LOL)
.30 cal only because it doesn't over heat ( it really does in real life too)
 
All the weapons are broken. I can't kill anyone consistently with any of them. Release a patch.
 
I never had a problem with overheating for either gun, i dont know if its my play style or what, but i fire in small bursts on the mg, and i get great accuracy and no overheating which = constant kills

Overall, except the sniper and the MG, the allies have better weapons.

American Rocket > German Rocket (american reloads wayyy faster and is less obstructing)
