Update: Now we know the 2 key legendaries in the games, and also get to see the DS cover:

Their names are Reshiram (left) and Zekrom (right) and their English names are the same apparently.

More information has been released about the generation 5 Pokemon games.
First off, we now know the two character models:

The main characters are not children like in previous games.
Also, the 3 starter pokemon have been revealed:

In Japanese, the pokemon's names are:
Tsutaaja - The Grass type
Pokabu - The Fire type
Mijumaru - The Water type

Also, the regions name is Isshu. It is appaently located "very far away" so its unlikely we'll be seeing a revived region alongside it like in the second generation. Finally, the 3D city city in the second screenshot is called Hiun City.
Names will of course likely change for the English versions.

There should be some clearly screenshots and maybe new ones released on May 15th, so stay tuned if you're interested.

I remember when I used to play Pokemon when I was in middle school. The adventure/RPG games are still pretty fun (the card game sucks)

Can't tell what the grass type is
but a pig and an otter... ok I guess. I mainly concerned with new fossil poke'mon, and If ill like pokabu's final evolution (though I love flareon, it just isn't that great in my all fire type team).

I agree. The water type just looks crazy. It will need a much better evolved form if I'm ever going to choose it.
