Well, I've been browsing around lately and doing a bit of research on these LED Monitors. Needless to say, I'm pretty impressed.

So, would you guys recommend picking one of these things up, or sticking with a somewhat cheaper LCD Monitor?

Here are the two I've been eyeballing,

And here is the closest related LCD monitor, and only $10 less

I figured it was about time to retire my old LG 19in LCD.

I figure if you have the money, then go for it. Just read the reviews and find the best one.

Well, now I'm thinking about selling my GTX 275 and getting a GTX 470 or 5850. I hate being in these situations :glare:

Yeah I know, if I get a new card, I'm not getting the monitor.

I'll have to upgrade at some point and check out DX11. Hopefully it's worth all the hype.

just wait till the next series if you don't need to upgrade.

Im pretty sure the GTX 275 can run your games max at whatever monitor you want, just wait till the next ATI 6 series come out or something.

They supposed to be released the end of this year.

That's going to be a fortune. Let's see how the prices drop rather than give up an arm and leg for a card like that. I say get a monitor first. They're cheap, and video cards are always going to get cheaper. Just wait it out and enjoy your games on a sick 1080p monitor!

DX11 isn't to great unless you really, really, really love Metro 2033 and a few other games. I would recommend getting the Samsung LED, I've seen LED displays in person and they are very, very, very pretty. Worth the money, no question especially if it's only $20-$30 more.

Why the Samsung?

We've got an Acer LED display, and it is definitely the best LCD computer monitor we've got. The color is very nice, but what was surprising is that the colors seem to pop out more. I mean, when you've got 2 shades of red or gray, they look different, unlike other LCD displays where they look almost the same.

It's hard to explain, but LED displays are definitely worth the money.

I never had any good experiences with Viewsonic; and Samsung makes great screens. They OEM some of their screens to other manufactures sometimes too.

I've got a Big monitor and its just about the whole computer. Like it's all integrated into my monitor except the keyboard and mouse. And i have an Intel GMA X4500 which is the crappiest thing ever and i cannot update it i believe.

Well I owned an old Viewsonic 4:3 LCD monitor for about a year and it worked great until I upped to my current monitor. Checking out their website it seems like they have good customer service and warranties if needed.

I meant they're actual screens aren't too good compared to Samsung, my Viewsonic's have been sub standard.
BUT I have owned at least a dozen monitors in the past 2 years alone. I'm still surprised my local computer store doesn't bar me from refunding them :)

Dude upgrade that 19. I use a 19 on each side of my Samsung 23" for my work desktop and a 23" ASUS at home for gaming, go for a 23. When i was looking around at widescreens for work, the size difference in a 22-23 does not sound like much but it just seems like so much more screen real estate.

Just got it today. I paid for standard shipping and it went across the states in two days. You have to love Newegg.

Going from 19 to 22 is a huge difference. So far I love it.
