Valve Announces new game - Releases Monday

i was about to start a thread saying the same thing!! lolol

Awsome that valve is actually gonna realise a game for free
 
this isnt a new game... ive seen this on steam for a long while now. it seems that valve just basically got the rights to it and is publishing it thru valve. Then again i definitely saw this game over a year ago. valve might have taken it and re-did it to make it better but this is not a valve orginal game. I CAN be mistaken and confusing it with another game but im 99% sure.

That's because this is a remake of a mod. Valve saw this mod for Unreal 2004 and decided to hire the guys working on it.

This is a remake of an older mod. Valve hired the people ahead of the mod, and those people worked on L4D and L4D2 and later created this remake of their mod.

remake of a mod

valve is known for this TFC was a remake of the mod QWTF for the quakeworld engine and CS was originally a third party mod than valve hired it's team DoD is the same story.

valve is a good game dev but what the accel at is finding projects that are going to do well and hire the teams or sponsor the project.

it is actually kinda nice that they aren't only looking at projects and teams that are FPS mods or games but are interested in teams that make all kinds of games now.

This could be interesting for a while. This could also make a really interesting Clan Tournament idea too.
 
Looks better than alien breed: impact :D (<3 alien breed series though)

Four hours to go. The vids remind me of Shadowgrounds with a bit better set of graphics - a nice 3rd person shooter. I'm in for a game when it comes out.
