I have a ATI 4870 that I recently upgraded. I had several problems with driver updates (usually because of evil windows updates), so if this works properly, it would be a great benifit. Now, if only they could do the same for my current nvidia card!
 
Meh. It's aight I guess. Helpful sometimes, other times not really.
 
Currently its directing me to the ATI site and wanting me to pick my drivers from a list manually...

I prefer the nvidia site where it scans for you :/
 
Worked for me, however I had to re-setup my dual monitors and it was a huge mess.. =\
 
Well... I'm not a huge fan
I'm running Windows 7 with Radeon X1950 Pro, so its not SUPPOSED to be compatible, which forces me to run on an older driver version.

I just hope it doesn't try to auto-update.

It auto updates from steam for me. I'm guessing since it's a laptop it's a mobile card, and doesn't know drivers to pick up.
 
Noticed this earlier today when I launched Steam.

I immediately wanted to see how it worked, so I clicked on the tab, it grabbed the latest drivers, and installed them. Everything worked perfectly.
 
With ATI's reputation for breaking drivers every other update, I'm not sure it's as useful as it would be for NVidia users.
 
I like it since I have ATI graphics card.

I can just start up steam and update my drivers now :)
