Article ITT I attempt to review every movie I've seen.

I must request you to watch the Japanese animated movie "Summer Wars."
It's won a major award or two in Japan and has been nominated for several others.

The movie is based in our world and a virtual world that about everyone in the world uses for their various needs like corporate meetings, shopping, real estate, ect. that is taken over by a hacker. I'd say more, but I'm afraid that I may be ruining it for you, assuming you watch it.

It hasn't had a region one release yet...and it looks like there wont be one till February. But I'm adding to my saved Netflix queue.


Oh, and I AM DONE WITH PAPERS... all seven of them.

I know your on a Bond roll right now but if you could take the time to review Toy Story 3 (I loved it mostly through childish nostalgia, wanted to know what you thought)?

I have an absolutely terrible habit of not catching Pixar films while they're in theaters. I'm not kidding when I say this: The last Pixar film I saw in theaters was the original Toy Story all the way back in 1995. I do eventually see them, I mean the only ones I haven't seen is Cars and Toy Story 3...and I've been purposely avoiding Cars.
 
Sexy, you hear about Cars 2? This actually looks like Pixar is trying to milk a movie for all its got by giving it a sequel. But its kinda scary because Pixar is pretty much known for their amazing animated movies and this sounds like they're running out of ideas or theres some third-party influencing them.

Yeah, I saw the teaser for Cars 2. I'm reserving my judgment till it comes out...mostly because it's Pixar. I mean, if they really wanted to milk something, do a sequel to Finding Nemo...that would be an easy billion right there.

Story: A Ninja seeks vengeance on the man who trained him...or it's something like that.

Review: While watching Ninja Assassin you might find yourself asking some of the following questions: Shouldn't the protagonist be dead? I mean seriously the last hit should have disemboweled him. Or, If they're such a secret organization why in the hell are they fighting in the middle of Berlin in full view of like a hundred people who definitely saw them? Or, If they're such a secret organization why are they doing...like 40% of the things that we see them do in this movie. Or, isn't Europol in the Netherlands...and why are they in Japan...and since when were they armed with rocket launchers?

As you can see, this movie has the ability to generate a lot of questions. This is most due to it's plot...which is really really stupid. There is actually a plot in this movie and it's pretty had to miss, which is unfortunate because you'll wish it wasn't there. Now I do appreciate what this film is trying to do and I do appreciate the excess amount of gore in this film. The issue is...the glue that holds the film together, the singular thing that strings the film from on gory fight scene to the next...THE PLOT, is just so mind numbingly bad, that I can't recommend the film.

Ya i actually rated the movie earlier as well. I totally agree w/ the plot bit. Cant remember where my review is, but its smaller than yours. I found the gore to way 2 excessive (mostly due to the fact that most of it was cg based, which was stupid). I also can understand about the hit that almost ripped him in half (which should have, but its hollywood, they can make anything possible, no matter how ridiculous it sounds). I must say that I agree w/ your review tho in the overall basis.

Oh yeah...there is just so many plot holes and so much crap that doesn't make sense in that movie that I could write a paper. One of my personal favorites:

Protagonist is mortally wounded on the ground screaming for whats-her-name to run. She gets stabbed through the heart by the antagonist as our hero lies on the flood and does nothing. When the antagonist goes to kill him, he goes all super ninja on him...pretty much from deaths doorstep to super badass in 3 seconds.

Review: Fun and over the top, Diamonds Are Forever is not the best bond film, but one that is still enjoyable. Not much else to say about this one, though apparently this one is ranks pretty high on the worst bond film lists.

I don't know how much you're into art-house films, or a foreign one at that but I highly recommend Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. It's not too dialogue heavy just in case you're not too fond of subtitles.

Oh, I'm into both art house and foreign films. I've added the movie to my Netflix queue...So I'll eventually get around to it...hopefully.

Story: Roger Moore is Bond an he's dealing with Voodoo heroin dealers in Louisiana.

Review: Fun and campy Bond film with probably the best opening song in the series and maybe the best title. The action is good, but the story is convoluted...which is par for the course in just about every Bond film. There is a crazy blaxploitation vibe going on through the whole film and works to comedic effect, you know the culture shock of prim and proper Moore era Bond fighting a 70s Heroin kingpin. I'm not a big fan of Moore, who just doesn't seem like he would be cut out for Bond. I'll watch him, but he's my least favorite Bond. Still it's a fun film fun and worth watching.

Review: Umm...yeah, I've must have seen this film like 5 times and I can't remember any of the plot. That has to be a bad sign right? I mean, not remember anything of the plot. I do remember that this one was shockingly dull and just not very good. They seriously have Herv? Villechaize as a henchman named Nick Nack...what the hell is up with that?

Story: Mad man hijacks a couple nuclear sub to start off a good old fashion nuclear apocalypse.

Review: This is one of the better Moore era Bond films...mostly because the writers of these films suddenly remember that the Cold War was still going on and James Bond should be interacting with the Russians in some way. There are a lot of great things in this movie, the villain is pitch perfect...though Jaws steals the show. The plot is pretty straight forward and is fun to follow. Overall a great Bond film and one that is worth watching.

Story: Essentially "The Spy Who Loved Me", but IN SPACE

Review: Oh dear god...this is quite possibly the most ridicules Bond film ever. Actually, scratch that, it is the most ridicules Bond film ever. Here is what basically happened, everyone saw Star Wars back in '77 and the Bond people decided it was about time that Bond went to outerspace. Sure the film is entertaining to a degree, but my god is it stupid.
