Would our all-time scores and playtime still be available for our viewing? If not, I'd be inclined to dissent.

i say do it since most of the number 1 spots have been taken up by ppl who got to number one and don't play anymore making impossible for the active player to obtain

yes...since the insurgency server was closed i dont care about my stats :)

Could do it monthly or bi-monthly and give the top 10 forum awards if they are registered. Or whenever it gets reset.

I voted no, but I meant to click I dont care. :(

Hlstats fixes this problem. look at the css stats page for top players. when the activity bar runs out, the player is considered in-active and they receive no position on the stats. their stats are still there, but if they dont play anymore, they dont get a rank.

not for tf2!!!! i know ppl who care about their stats. and the hlstats is not easy because of the tf2 point system. i here people still today saying they will forever be angry at eGO because of the last "reset". i know it wasnt a reset but we moved to our own eGO hlx, so the stats did "reset".
also all the daily rewards will be gone and the REALLY good players that are near the top that cant play as much anymore can be remembered by those. PLEASE DO NOT RESET TF2.

if you dont care about stats then obviously you would like a reset, but you need a legitimate reason.

I would agree with this. I personally don't care about my stats - you could reset it every week and I wouldn't even notice. But back when I first discovered eGO, I lived on the Dustbowl server, and this stats "reset" that codo mentioned killed it completely. Folks left and didn't come back, and the server never recovered. There was such a fun community, and I played there every night, and after this happened I played TF2 maybe once a week (and not always on an eGO server) because basically my home server was gone.

I voted "I don't care." But apparently I cared enough to vote :confused1:

No. No, no, no.
Yes, some people who haven't been here from the beginning, is gonna get a new chance - but as you said yourself - new people are gonna join. New people are gonna play.
Which means that in around 6 months or so, we'll need to reset them again, and it's just pain in the butt for those who really fought for this title. This rank.

It might be fair - at this point.
But in the long run, it's just a resetting-circle.

Ya sounds like a good idea. Keeps thing new and fresh from time to time.

If you are already on the top then you should have no problems getting there after a reset. If that is not the case then you don't deserver the top rankings. Thats all I have to say.
