I like that you can post more times a day, and it will show more.. I suppose I just dont like change! :P

I like that you are now able to post multiple stories.

I like that if you click "view full article," then I also have the option to reply to the post. I probably wouldn't otherwise.

I don't like that it looks different (insert grumble about how change is always bad here).

In short, I think it's great. Good idea!
 
I personally liked it how it was before where I could just read the news on the front page instead of having to go to the thread.
 
I like it.

I like how it has a really small summary (teaser) that lets me make an informed decision on it i want to read more or not..
 
I like how it was before the change. With these changes i feel they are graphically cluttering the front page. The links are good but if its just a short one why not just post it all.

Side note: Why so much TF2 maybe front post can be broken down by division so each one has a section of the front page and a DL can change it as needed. IE about events that are happening in 10 min or later in the week or recent field promos and such or just something funny that happen in the division.
 
I like that I can go ahead and comment on the post by clicking the full article, but I don't really like the visual layout at all to be honest. and you know us, we don't click "read more" unless we really care about the subject, w/ the current format we're more likely to read the whole thing.

i like that idea a lot, im not sure what it would take to do it but it sounds great.

as far as the front page goes i dont mind the difference at all...reading short summaries of a story is usually what decides whether or not i am going to read it anyways. So good stuff.
 
I'm not a huge fan of it, although the more I look at it, the less I don't like it. I like the general layout of the graphics with the text, but I have less appreciation for the art when it's sized down like that. Also, with such a large posting box and less filling content, it makes each post look a little empty. If we're going to be able to see more than just three like it is now, then I think it would definitely be a nice addition, but my comments above still apply even then. Just my two or more cents.

I don't like it. Too compact, just give us the full article that we don't have to spend another 3 seconds clicking a link when it could just be given to us on the front page. I'm sorry but it should be changed back. I realize that is only a few extra seconds, but in college my internet sucks and sometimes takes me like 10+ seconds to go to a page when in that time I could have just read the whole article and gone on with my day
 
in my opinion its much better than before this way things stay on the front page longer
 
Well, kinda dislike more than like. I liked the old articles with the big graphic that attracted my attention right away. These now look a lot like each other being the same size and contained in a box.

The content is still awesome, there is some real talent in eGO when it comes to news reporting!

Just my few pennies.
 
I don't really mind it, but it does present a lot of empty space on account of the dynamic width of the middle content. If the middle area was a static width you could design a news post layout that makes better use of the space.
 
I preferred the old one. In my opinion this is suited more for the newsletter with short articles and small images. I think this is too compact and prefer the old version. I would rather not go to another link just to read the news.

I do like the idea of something different though but
I wouldn't like it as a permanent change.

They do have something *kinda* like this already, however it needs to be updated to include all the divisions. Its a navigation pane that is just above the first announcement. What it does is switches the view so that you can see your divisional announcements. Is that what you had in mind, or did you mean all the divisional announcements on the front page in its own section so they are all visible at one time?

I personally like the compact new view. If we integrated the two ideas I think it would be a much more effective way to get divisional news across. However, my concern is if all divisional announcements were in one place it could possibly cause too much clutter on the front page.
 
I like the compact feel of the front page, and the teaser that it gives to get more traffic in by reading the full article. Feels more......professional. Good work!

I agree with the art comment. I really liked all the artwork before, now it's so small ;_;
