We need to make all our servers this
From what I've seen in about 2 years, there is always room for another server if it's for something brand new that everyone will try. We had a Degrootkeep server the day it came out and kept it for weeks. We had a Foundry server the day it came out and we still have it. We had Doomsday the day it came out. Halloween server every time the event rolls around.
I think we always have the option to have a new server, but we need it to be a server that will be very popular otherwise no profit will be generated from the server in order to keep it running. We have Harvest now because it was suggested by the community and because it was expected to be very successful. Which it currently is.

Well, I don't think the Harvest server counts, since it replaced the Halloween one.
No it counts. The Halloween server likely would've been removed once the event was over if Harvest wasn't an option.

Oh wow. I had no clue about the whole servers past thing. It kinda sucks that the Egypt server was taken down.

24/7 Egypt is what recruited me to eGO. It and turbine are easily my most-missed servers. ;-;
24/7 Blackmesa, Turbine and Egypt all used to be very fun and full servers. I remember time where I would be sitting in the queue for over an hour trying to get a spot in them. It would be nice to see Turbine in the Valve maps rotation if it isn't already.
There doesn't seem to be any good sniper maps like Turbine and Blackmesa anymore.

Same here, I got recruited from Egypt.
And I'll probably return to it now haha
Yeah, it actually did pretty well for a while, I think the actual reason it was taken off is because people got too angry and it required a lot of admin attention. People get extremely angry when they only have one life. I was actually promoted to G out of Arena, since we needed more admins.

I remember the Warpath server, I used to play there as a pub under a different name. I loved that map.
It was a fun server just to mess around in. I miss those days. I like how this has turned into a nostalgia thread.
Were on the same boat, although you have been with the clan much longer than I.

Wasn't there a Convoy server too or am I drunk?
There was an "experiment" of sorts and there was indeed a Convoy server for a time. No one filled it though. :/
