I don't know if I'll ever escape the 399-340 range of ranks with gameME. I've been trying, and I almost always go positive KD on the servers I join, but it's just not enough to stack up to how many times I die.

Maybe it's time for me to throw in the old reserve shooter and pull out the safer flare gun?
 
Well golly, if wron says I can do it then shoot, anything's possible.

easy way to get up, be the engee. People die, and when they die they need to be up in the front lines again, so teleporters can give points basically by how fast your team dies
 
I wanted to climb ranks mostly as my main class, pyro, though. I mean, yea I'll go engy or medic and rack up the points every now and then, but that's because we either needed those to win or I felt like playing a more relaxed class.

Homewrecker gives points for destroying sappers, so that can be a point gainer, plus you'd be helping your engees out.

Plus nothing like climbing up the ranks by doing that, got +400 points in 2 rounds with this guy who kept sapping our teleporters. All I did was stand on the other side of the tele and hit it with my homewrecker while he kept sapping it. Was insane XD
 
Don't worry~ I'm gonna take over that first position. ;) Just you wait and see.
 
Remember, K/D almost has nothing to do with ranks in Gameme.

Get better. Or go battle engie, whichever's better.
 
The fastest way to get points is to kill people that are higher ranked than you are.

So kill Wron as much as possible please and thank you.
 
I personally think the fastest way is to not mind them and keep on aiming and supporting your fellow teammates, lol. I don't really know which is best since there are tons more tips than this one.

I'm on a roll , I guess. I overpassed Goz once in a melee only match in meep's event. That's a good sign, right?
 
Going up in rank is hard if you don't know how to do it properly. If you play spy and actually backstab someone you actually get more points, and it also depends on who you kill too.
If you want to rise the ranks as pyro, then do this: Airblast team mates, Airblast projectiles, Axetiguish heavies and medics and Spy Check like crazy. The spy checking is the most important part because the spies I usually killed are high ranking people.
 
I've been steadily racking points daily. Within a month or so I've racked about 10k points. One thing is if you're playing on a server filled with new F2P players you'll have a hard time getting any points. And if they kill you, you lose a lot. :( One time I had a 4:1 KDR at Dustbowl yet I went down in ranks and points. :(
 
My K/DR isn't shockingly amazing, but I play constantly. It's amazing how the points add up if you put in 3-4 hours a day and treat tf2 as a part time job. :P
 
Come on, gameME points system & standing are a joke & I've never gotten why anyone cares about it.

1st it's tracking some "crazy" point system in PUBs

2nd it's only tracking servers using gameME (there are a lot of servers out there using something besides gameME or noting at all) so ...

3rd as I've said it's a "crazy points" system
 
!gameme_vanish 1 is your best friend, to me it makes all your problems just float away.
