Having trouble connecting. Dont know where to the port number in. Differnt note someone please take me off the banlist for vent. was trying to make my mic work and it auto banned me i think.

Ok i got in i put ts3.edge-gamers.com (174.37.26.8) in the line and it didnt like the IP i removed the ip and got in fine. May want to take that part off for the tech idiots like me.

Teamspeak is 10x better than ventrilo. There is little to no delay when talking so it is much better for competitive play. You can also personalize teamspeak but with vent you can't really at all. You can also give channel admin to members for maybe an admin training room or something like that and not have to give him server admin.

It's ts3.edge-gamers.com or 174.37.26.8.

They provided the IP for if there is ever an issue resolving the host-name.


I've used TS3 since it was released for multiple reasons. I love it.
Everything is simple for those new to using VOIP software.

I'd prefer it over Ventrilo any day...

So far, So Awesome. The interface seems much more modern. I haven't had a chance to play around with the overwolf piece but overall it seems easier to get started using and set up playing.

I don't know where you put a port number in, I didn't see that under advance in bookmarks.

The default port is 9987. If the server is using that port, you don't need to specify one.
But if you need it, the port goes after the ip/hostname in the "address" line.

ts3.edge-gamers.com:9987
174.37.26.8:9987

I love the Overwolf. Very handy. And of course, TS3 is pretty awesome.

I love TS3 so much more than vent. Seems to be a lot more functionality than Vent has. And it's nice TS3 still gets updates.

I'd like to know this as well.

Not that it entirely matters to me. I usually just hop on vent late at night and sit in a channel by myself. Still, I'd like to hear the reasoning for the change.

ts3 is nice, a bunch more features than vent. Problem I have is the poke power needs to be fixed. Anyone can poke Anyone, only way to disable it completely client side is to add the user to your friends list, select ignore tab and click disable pokes.

I dont know how much I feel about it though currently since iv only used it for about 30 minutes.

I personally like vent far more then ts. Never did like TS, always thought the sound quality was inferior to the times I spent using vent. Yes there are some cool options, but that's where the positives end for me basically.

We are able to host the TeamSpeak server ourselves, and the reliability of our current Ventrilo setup has not been very stable.
