Highschool

There is a very long thread up about getting A rotational server... I do not think they going to though :)
 
Hi masy, the TF2 division is having a vote what to do with our instagib server, right now ppl are voting for a rotation server.... Yayay we are having a rotation server? Yay? Anyone...?

Seeing as this is the third thread about a rotation server I'd say its time for Leadership to put that rotation server together.

i mean it would be real nice. pleeeaaaaasssee *puppy dog eyes*
 
Again, we've tried to make rotation servers work in the past.. multiple times. It always leads to the same end result: no population after a few weeks to a couple months. It isn't plausible to try it again after the facts have shown it won't work.

So what do we do about a failing server like high school?
By failing I refer to the trend of rank getting worse and less and less people playing on it consistently. When does it economically not make sense to run a server/map?

Believe me, I'm all for trying to get high school going again. I honestly honestly love the map and prefer to play it over dust2, Italy, and office.

I think the CSSF team is one approach to fix this. Although I haven't seen much focus on highschool. Jail and mini games, sure.

Do we really need 36 slots on this server. I'm sure there is a lot I don't know about slot allotment. I'm just basing this on the user are I've observed this year.

I'm more than happy to Dropbox this as well. Maybe that is a more appropriate forum.
 
Leadership has been discussing what to do with highschool for the last few weeks. Right now highschool is expendable. It won't regain its former glory
 
This thread depresses me only because Highschool was such a great map, and I still honestly consider it to be one of my favorite maps I've ever played on CS:S. I shouldn't be one to talk about trying to fill the server because I hardly have the time to play, but perhaps an event or meeting of some sort could take place in order to find a map that everyone in eGO enjoys enough to stick to.

Just my thought...
 
maybe we should try making the old highschool map the default.
after the change, highschool kinda died out. dunno if its cause of the player base or for other reasons, but its worth a shot.
 
Idk brah, I think I get enough of that Highschool thing 7 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Well I guess it was inevitable but as an old Highschool player I just wanna say that I will forever miss it and will always have a place for it in my heart. There was no map quite like it and I'll always remember the good times I spent there with some really cool people. Props to I believe it was RogueSniper for the awesome remake and I just felt likle I should show some appreciation for a map I spent thousands of hours on. Much love, =(eGO)= *thom
