(sarcasm) You know what would be great is if there was a prequel to Boruto.

I have heard the above statement from middle school kids I work with (without the joking or sarcasm, completely serious) and it makes my anime heart hurt.

I think you need to sit them down and just show them where it all started.

In my professional opinion, Naruto is where it ended. Rock Lee's Youthful adventures? Sure. Boruto? Nope, non-canon, nope nope nope nope.

Oh boy, I could go on a whole rant about why I think Boruto fails as a Naruto sequel. As it's own show, meh it's probably average at best. But it really isn't a sequel to me.

Ok, I liked Kancolle, Arpegio of Blue Steel, Date a live 1 and 2, bakemonogatari, Spice and Wolf season 1 and 2.

That might be a decent start, i'll legit watch anything, but I need to see some classics first.

Speaking of kancolle, I noticed the other day it's no longer #1 for web games in Japan. It's been overtaken by Princess Connect Reive and Granblue Fantasy. I may or may not have tried Princess Connect.

Anywho, in regards to wanting to watch "classics", if you simply mean older shows, like 15+ years or older, here's a few:

• Great Teacher Onizuka
• Trigun
• Cowboy Bebop
• Slam Dunk
• Rurouni Kenshin
• Yuu Yuu Hakusho
• Inuyasha

I'd say those are "classics" in terms of age. Although, based on what you listed, here are some I think you'd enjoy:

• Mouretsu Pirates
• Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai
• Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
• Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.
• Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

People will say "yeah I watch anything", and then I ask "do you like horror?", they say "yeah", I give them Shiki and they can't handle it Although, Shiki is a bit more "Japanesey" than other horror shows.

I'm actually going to try Shiki, it looks pretty good (plus I need to get back into horror), and by classics, I ment "Anime that made a big impact on anime as a whole", but I will watch everything here first. Thank you, Mega!

I've started up watching Bakemonogatari after not having has much time to get into it back in the day.
I hope I get enough time to watch the whole Monogatari series but I think that'll take me a bit to watch.

So I've watched through most of the first episodes for everything airing this season, less the isekai shows I don't really touch anymore, and I was really surprised at the one I enjoyed most. Hataraku Saibou. (Cells at work). It's a show about, well cells at work. Not cell phones, but actual cells within your body. It's a nice light hearted comedy and has insanely cute moments. Yeah its pretty good, but i think the best platform to watch anime on is crunchyroll because we get the episode after it airs 1hour after japan

Without giving plot points away, can anyone tell me if I'm going to have a Clannad: Afterstory kind of feeling at the end of Darling in the FranXXX? I don't really feel like doing a full blown cry session any time soon.
