What's the story behind your name?

My brother once told me I was money...like cash money. I think we were playing video games...anyway

a lot of people have the name but i still like it a lot. plus, there's only one =(e)=™Cmoney :)

Absolutely nothing. Made it up out of no where. Here is what went down: I tend to get bored of names that i make for myself that have a meaning and often change my name just for variety, but i got sick of doing that. So i decided to make random sounds out of random letters until something sounded and looked cool and had no meaning so i would not get bored of it, hence: Zegz....cool sounding isnt it?? :p

At the end of last year I lost my 1/2 TW and 1/2 QH gelding of 26 years. His name was Shadeaux. (Shadow) for those of you who dont live so close to Louisiana!!! And the 827 is my fire dept. call numbers. (I've been in for 18 years) So since those were my 2 favorite things I just stuck them together! It may also clear up my love of the pyro!! !amazed
=eG= Shadeaux827

From time to time I drink Jack Daniels or Wild Turkey while wearing my elkskin cowboy boots and a t-shirt that says 'Metal' on it. I don't remember it, but on a particular occasion the name was introduced. My real name is Russell, and Jesse James sounds better to me than Rusty. :P

I was registering for an account on some website long ago and the avatar I chose was a piece of toast. Then I thought of Toasteddude and have been using it ever since.

my last name is Jensen.. so one day when brain-storming ideas for a cool online name and names i use for games i came up with Jensen. ^^ and all my friends for as long as i could remember call me that.

Itachi is from Naruto, though surprisingly I'm not a fan of the anime. I just like the character, and the name lol. I tend to hate anime that 'milk' their ideas, and run for hundreds of episodes. I used to use the name Itachi way back in old games as well, though that was more of a 'randon japanese name' generator I had going in my head, lol. *Can think of some cool names*, mostly from playing too many MMO's. lol

When I was a freshman in high school. I had a group of friends in Physical Ed. and they always said I looked high so they started calling me Dopey. They still do now as a Junior and so I decided that would be my game name.

i got it from game boy advance sp but i decided to add some numbers on there.

sp345 to me is a guy who got genetically altered and now starts to get revenge on the people who did this to him.

Mine comes from when I was in college. When I first got into (online multiplayer) FPS' it was DoD 1.3 and me and my roommate would take turns playing/killing. For some reason he loved the name JohnnyontheSpot so I've used it as a pubber name since then, which considering how old DoD 1.3 it has been 7 years that I've been using that name. I have occassionally seen other people using my name and have actually asked them to change it claiming that I've been using it longer than they have...and they have. :)

So yeah, freshman year of college + dorm roommate = name

(Copied from the last time this question was asked)
Years ago, my wife and I were driving from Madrid, NM home to Albuquerque. On the way, you drive through a town in the Sandia mountains called Cedar Crest. Driving along, I saw a sign for a place that would hold funerals for your pets.

Hilarity ensued. My wife and I laughed for about an hour, imaging what it would be like for someone to hold a funeral for a fish named Flippy. For weeks, we'd walk around the house and say, "I miss Flippy," and then burst out into peals of laughter.

Later, as I was teaching some classes at work and was lecturing on the importance of good passwords, I started saying, "don't tell someone, 'my password is flippy the squirrel'."

Finally, I got Half-Life2 and ran home to install it. Up to this point, all of my in-game names had always been "AfroNinja" (a Jim Kelley / Enter the Dragon joke that I thought of in '91). I was sad to discover that the name was already taken, and after trying a couple of other names, I just typed in "flippy_the_squirrel" in annoyance.

Since then, it's grown on me, and since playing TF2 (where it uses that name instead of one you enter in-game), I've become quite proud to be identified with such a goofy name.

I love my name. I was Pinja, meaning the Pink Ninja, I actually do some radio stuff with that name. While talking smack to a friend on the phone one day, I told him to be prepared for a swift and stealthy purple nurple from the pink ninja, since that is the Pinja's secret weapon. So, I figured the only thing more ninja than a ninja was the secret weapon of the ninja.

If you look in the Urban Dictionary, here is Purple Nurple used in a sentence which aptly describes the fierceness of it all:
"Popping out of the shadows, he deftly clamped his thumb and forefinger down upon Dave's nipple- a purple nurple had been administered."

Besides, it's super fun to say. :)

Back when I played WoW, I introduced two of my friends to it and we spent half our summer playing. Of course I had to make a new character (which eventually became my main character for 2 years)to start out with them and I was really into Mars Volta at the time, so I stole it from the song. Later found out Cicatriz means "scar" in Spanish, so its fun to say imo, a sweet song and an awesome hidden meaning.

I originally started out with the name cthlyte (C=see, th=the, lyte=light) which was a cool name. Unfortunately it didn't look so cool on the gaming scene. So my next step was thebigox. My mom was always telling me I was a bull in a china shop :). Well when I finally got into DOD 1.3 with my first gaming clan I used the name qwerty (Like in qwerty keyboard?). The clan leader thought the name was funny, but decided to call me MrQ because he had a friend named that. It was cool.

The name has gone through several variations, in order of appearance: Mr. Q, Mr.Q, and MrQ. I have used this name for nearly 3 years in every game I play. Everybody likes it, and everybody wants to shoot the MrQ. Whats with that?

But to keep it simple most of my friends just call me Q.

LOL

I figured yours was from the Mars Volta! Deloused is their best album.

My name came from ~6 years ago. I was in a history class and we studied the "Glorious Revolution", so I began to use that as my username. Later, it just dropped to Glorious.

Their best album by far, the new one is pretty good. Got away from that 10 min song crap
