Hey civilians, cops and crooks, we recently dropped a big change to how guns work in the server such as recoil and spread.

We're looking for all the feedback we can get regarding these changes, this also includes things such as fire rate and damage!

OmgWtfNamesTaken OmgWtfNamesTaken so far from my testing they have done as follows...

Increased Recoil over amount of rounds fired (i.e the csgo effect but you cannot control it to my knowledge) the more rounds you fire the worse the bullet spread gets, This has been tested with the (Micro SMG, AK47, Carbine Rifle, Pistol, and combat pistol) The Micro smg takes 4 shots to kill center mass close range, same for the AK47, Carbine Rifle, Pistol and combat pistol)

I believe after the first 10 shots the recoil starts to go nuts, and you have to stop shooting for a few moments and then continue, this system is unrealistic however the alternative is having no recoil.
 
Gun: (AK47/CarbineRifle/CarbineRifleMk2)

Requested Changes: damage, move shot to kill times down from 4 to 3

Why should these changes go through: unrealistic kill times with illegal hard to get hard to find weapons, No benefit to criminal sided RP, grabbing a rifle has no advantage over a pistol because they have the same shot to down rate, the only benefit to having a rifle is fire rate, but due to the recoil coming in around 10-15 rounds fired, that advantage is dead if you miss your shots, Which you will due to not having a crosshair.

I haven't tested the guns in a long time, so I do not know the previous shot to down times which makes the making of this reply kind've dumb, however, with body armor the time to down takes double the amount of time and rounds as if you were shooting someone without armor, For example,

(player shoots target without body armor 4 times in the chest CLOSE range, Player dies)
(player shoots target with body armor 8 times in the chest CLOSE range, Player dies)

That isn't factoring range either, from memory of testing the guns awhile back with someone for certain weapons the shot to kill took an extra bullet when range was at the max, I could be wrong though, Id love to test it more thoroughly when i find some time.
 
Gun: All Rifles

Requested Changes: increase MAXIMUM RANGE to 500m for all assault rifles, or find out the max rendable distance a make it so you can hit someone that is close to the max rendable but not at the max so snipers are still useful, Increase the damage drop off so at max range it takes 5 more bullets to kill than reg, so if it takes 4 rounds at close it should take 9 rounds at max shooting distance or more, its up to you, Also headshots should be a kill unless its at the max range, so medium range it should be a oneshot like we discussed in discord.

Why should these changes go through: realism i dont really need to go into it much more than that, oh and better gameplay.
 
Gun: Micro SMG

Requested Changes: Reduce recoil.

Why should these changes go through: With the current recoil, the gun is basically unusable after the first shot is fired. The spray and damage of the gun are already poor as it is and now with the recoil the gun is honestly pointless, you're better off using a pistol. Reducing the recoil on this gun will allow the user to somewhat aim their shots and make the gun have a purpose again.
 
instead of screwing with the recoil a bunch you should just add some sort of screen shaking when you shoot to make it a bit harder to aim. I do think the recoil is nice, I just think it's a little too much as it currently stands.

jeremy_duck jeremy_duck increasing range of weaponry would be a good change but from what I have gathered shooting someone at a distance without having a face to face interaction with them is against the rules and falls under RDM so I don't really see the purpose as you'll most likely never be at a range where you have to shoot someone at max render distance without some sort of backlash. Sniper rifles are also fairly useless in the current scheme of things.
 
so after my first gunfight last night i'm pretty happy regarding the system right now, the time to kill is long and enjoyable, the recoil is warranted and now all weapons aren't lasers, I still feel like Illegal two handed weapons (not the compact ak) should be a 1 shot kill to the head due to the time it takes to get them and the connections required but I understand why they aren't.

In general, the system where its at now rewards skill less than before, so if you hit a head shot whether that be with a crosshair, or you knowing where your aiming, or luck it doesn't feel so bad when getting one tapped, which i like.

After looking at the feedback discussed here and in Discord/Teamspeak, I've gone and adjusted a variety of numbers including headshot modifiers (:sick:) & range/fall-off. Just a heads though, recoil (not spread!) hasn't really been modified for now. Test 'em out and post some feedback!

Gun: Machine Pistol

Requested Changes: Decrease Recoil

Why should these changes go through: Currently after 3 shots of the machine pistol you are looking at the moon, gun is impossible to use whilst in a vehicle (this was during the purge so may have been due to that server)

Alright, should've posted this here probably a month n a half ago rather than post it in just discord but here we go:

Shotguns (Pump Shotgun & Pump Shotgun Mk2) got revamped. Still slugs n all that stuff but a whole lot of number changes done to it. Pushed some things to it to help out with the anti-vehicle dreams (@aidan can relate to this) and changed how damage works with it, it's still superb against players. Also penetrates certain materials now, such as people! Pro tip: Use it close to mid range.

Micro SMG: This gun is a weird one. It's always either a real piece of junk or really good. I did another lookover on the gun and I've changed how it works significantly, for the time being, I suggest upping your DPI. I'll be looking to toning this more as it definitely needs more work.

Some pistols also received minimal changes to how they react vs armor.

Melee: Lock on go brrrrrrr. Did some stuff to unarmed. Tell me if fist fights feel better now.

Gun: SMG

Requested Changes: Time for Recoil heap increase (10 ->13)

Why should these changes go through: For a gun that is meant for controlled aggression through S.W.A.T. I think it would make sense if a gun that has considerably more shots to be accurate would really help it and appeal to more Cops/Civilians. With its' STK (Shots to Kill) being 4, this nice little buff would make it an appealing option for those people who are very accurate.
 
Everything prior to this has been looked into and implemented in some shape or form.

If you have a logitech mouse after a while they will double click the right click. I just got a new one, it lasted 4 years then did the double clicking so i bought a new one
