Ramen, the best flavor.

I had the urge for some ramen, and I only found some kim chi flavored ramen my dad bought a while ago. It's pretty good, but it's spicy as hell (for me at least).

I'm chinese and I can tell you the best ramen is in the asian grocery stores. Look for a grey box, the individual packages are in red and white, if you can read chinese pronounced "Choot chin yut ding". Get the chicken flavor its like a party in my mouth and everyone's invited! lol, my pantry is full of this stuff

This is the brand name I'm talkin about

We americans are most familiar with Nissin and Maruchan, (Maruchan is better..)
But i live in a medium size city, and we have asian food stores that carry lots of different kinds, i'll check some out in the next few days and let you know.

Oh, I forgot about oriental flavor, I didn't have it only once, its yum.

As a chinese, I highly endorse buying plain ramen, and then boiling it with american cheese
:D

I love ramen. Combining Ramen with a Tennis racket is wonderful.
Ramen when its cooked semi Aldente and left only slightly wet has great adhesive qualities.

For at home Ramen, there is a HUGE Korean Grocery by my house that has Kimchee flavored Ramen that is amazing.
But also near my house (within walking distance in fact) is the only Oshima Ramen in the US (all the others are in Japan) where the owner hand makes all the noodles every morning, and they come with yummy stuff like sliced pork and soy marinated duck eggs!!! It is some of the most amazingly good food ever! Just google "Oshima Ramen Denver" and if you are ever in Denver, GO!!!!

still love the chili flavor, but i've recently also fallen in love with pork flavor + lots of hot sauce.

I tried this vietnamese stuff recently (my ex girlfriend told me about pho, which is vietnamese noodles in beef broth with beef strips and random veggies) its great. but the ramen flavor is a little lacking in the 'authentic' feel. Nonetheless its very good stuff. I only know good pho because of the Pho Bowl in Seattle washington, the place i took my ex girlfriend when we were first united. (i spent over 3000 on this girl in a week LOL, oh god, oh...im such a fool.

Anyway this ramen is good, but the ramen i have come to love is Maruchan Chili flavor.

=) maybe i'll come across another better flavor in the future, i am looking forward to it.

Pho is not technically ramen.

Pho is actually rice noodles, and the best comes with BEEF TRIPE

Oh gawd.

Oh, and next time you go, ask for "Goi Cuon"

Its a little spring roll with a rice covering, with lettuce, carrots, and a few other vegetables on the inside, along with your choice of shrimp, pork, or both.

Delicious stuff. My favorite thing ever.
