tell me how it is guys, if good reviews, ill switch over, vista is not that bad, but thats just me XD
Windows 7 looks like a modified Vista. I'm downloading the demo for sure, but if it doesn't impress me, I might forever switch to Linux.
I don't expect everything to run smoothly, but I want it to work nicer. Useful features, ya know? Anyway, it better be pretty impressive or it won't be worth my money to go from Vista to Windows 7.

Im running it right now and I love it. Much better then vista. Takes a little to get use to it but it has everything that vista needed. Plus uac is really easy to turn off. I would recommend windows 7 to anyone when it comes out.

The copy im running is stable. Haven't had any lock ups. I would say this year some time probably 3rd quarter.

I thought I had heard that it was potentially supposed to be out in the summer.
Not sure if I am going to try the beta or not yet.... depends on whether i can create a small partition without wiping my drive, throw it in there and not have to reinstall all my programs/games to test them out.

there is a program you can "obtain" or buy. Magic Partition lets you make partitions off your current one without wiping.

Windows 7 is Vista with just a few things missing, i like vista and im gonna miss my autosearch in the start bar

windows 7 is what vista was suppose to be. Touch-screen support, better formance, some other stuff. Haven't looked at it 100%
for those of u who use the beta version, do u know if there is any information yet as to whether there will be a max limit on memory? cause i know that xp 32 bit (which is what im usin) is maxed out @ 3.5 gb whereas the 64 bit version can handle full 16gb. i will prob have 2 do a trial run w/ win 7 to see how it works n stuff.

what do you think that is a made up version by some clown?
its the official version by microsoft x32 and 64 bit.and its junk there are no drivers for it.ethernet dosent work on 98% of mobos cause theres no drivers for it.cant install any games cause it dont work,,you have to backup all mp3 media cause it might vanish,windows 7 wont be out till next year...the beta stops in august.
