Hello my fellow gamers. I got a killer deal Saturday at an auction, and I would like to share my good news with you.

On Saturday, I stood through pouring rain while I waited on the auctioneer to make his way to the computer stuff. I honestly didn't expect for any of the switches to be working, but I wanted them anyway. I won the auction for ten (10) 48-port 10/100 switches (well, one of them is only 24 port...). All of the switches work except for the one in my arms. Even it powers up and probably just needs some love. Two of them have add-on cards for fiber optic connections (Can we say 'gigabit'?).

Better yet, I won all of that equipment for $6. Yes, SIX DOLLARS. All of the locals were scratching their heads and bidding $50 on old Dell computers that probably don't work, and they didn't know the goldmine I nabbed.


Now, my question for you is: Who wants to have a LAN party!?!?

You know, if I could secure a cheap venue in the DFW area, I'd have a Uber LAN party. Until I strike it rich, I'll have smaller ones.

In fact, I'll be hosting one within the next few weeks. I'll post about it in the General Forums pretty soon.

Yes it is. I think my next goal is to get a few servers. I'm raiding a corporate office that got closed down soon, so I may have all sorts of equipment lol.
