An insane virus on my computer... HELP!

Alright, so here's the skinny of things. About 3 weeks ago I visited FPSBanana to download a few skins for the pyro/jarate/few other things. Upon my downloading of one of them, I downloaded what I now know is probably the most insane Trojan I've ever dealt with. Davethegreat has been helping me for hours, and what it comes down to, is that I'm going to have to flash my bios/reformat tomorrow....

But, here's the wild part: It keeps taking over after I run malwarebytes in safe mode. It always deletes 30+ items... Whenever I reboot into normal windows mode, it shows Malware Doctor right away running a scan.. I've never downloaded this program, so I assume it's part of the trojan. I go to ctrl-alt-delete, and it says my system admin has disabled the task manager (I'm my own admin, obviously, and have never set defaults/etc).... When I run MalwareBytes, it does allow me to reboot and get into the task manager for a few seconds...

But alas, there's more! I cannot open up Internet Explorer in normal windows mode (I'm writing this in safe mode right now), AIM, and can not install Kaspersky... (There's an error at the end of the installation that will not allow it to install.)

Any tips/ideas????
 
Kapersky has many known issues with installs. Often the error is kapersky wanting you to remove various other scanner programs, in this case I would think it doesn't like malwarebytes.

This is part of the reason I turned down kapersky. Try Nod32 antivirus, it doesn't have such lame install limitations and does a better job of everything computer security related. They have a 1 month trial so you can give it a try if you want before reformatting.
 
Nod32 got rid of a really nasty virus I had for a while. Definitely give it a try.
 
Wow, this is serious. Try backing things up, and get ready for the worst. I really don't know anything else to say. I'm so sorry.

Yeah, viruses that you actually download onto your computer are going to be pretty insane. Either way, I'd reformat just to be safe.
 
Get a Program Called webroot, Bestbuy sells a CD thats a Free month trial i think, its helped me get rid of a bunch of viruses that i've gotten and if you want to buy the whole thing you have to pay monthly.

When it comes to computers I'm technology impaired but what if you tried a system restore?
 
have you tried removing your hard drive and connecting it to another computer and running the scan from there?
you can either pop it open and use the sata connectors or you can get an sata to usb converter.
 
Well me when I go on FPS banana always check who is the author, reviews on the skin, and the note on 10. Also me too I get some times some viruses from pop-ups on FPS banana but my Kaspersky always blocks them, I also have malware bytes as you said, and works really great for malware, but maybe the trojan infected some parts of your system DLL, the best thing is a complete reformat like me with my svchost.exe CPU at 100 % when I start my computer
 
The solution:

Reformatted, made a partition 3 times, deleting it each time after. Quick reformat afterwards, followed by installing windows, then all windows updates, then all drivers.. Seems to be fine..

oh deja after you get set up it always best to keep your data on a differnt partition than your operating system and program files that way if you ever have to format a broken or virus stricken win install no need to back up. and it always good to keep a linux live cd around to use as a recovery disk.
 
i find a great combination is superantispyware(free), spybot S&D(free), windows defender(duh, free), and ESET nod32(not free)

this combination has always kept my computer clean, nod32 doing about 80% of the work. great programs.

Combining anti-virus is not good. I stick with one amazing one called Spyware Doctor. It costs $30.00, and that's for lifetime. It's amazing software.
 
I never keep anything on this computer. At the very worst, I lost a few links to some websites that I can remember, and a couple of in game screenshots.... Other than that, it's just TF2, ventrilo, a few other misc. programs, and CS4.
 
Nod32 (I use ESET Internet Security, it comes with Nod32 antivirus and ESET firewall) as well as Malwarebytes for a by weekly scan. You should NEVER mix antivirus scanners, however it is widly suggested to use 1 antivirus, and 1 or more (overkill) malware/spyware scanners every so often.

Nothing has ever slipped past ESET, but then again I tend to stay away from questionable sites.

Oh, firefox and noscript are a must.
 
i dont use anti-virus or any anti spyware software and never had problems
