So theres not going to be a Modern Warefare 2 "Hardened Edition" for the PC. I pre-ordered it at GameStop, appearently they're not carrying it anymore.

What do you guys think about that?

same here. Offically, it is not out of the system yet. They may release what few copies they have, but dont count on it.

I think that was a horrible move by IW for straying from the PC.

Yeah...no wait. Wont most PC gamers just pick the game up off of steam?

o.O how is that possible? im serious not having steam, THEN HOW ARE YOU IN EGO!?!?

lol, well I only play call of duty4, I have World at War, but I dont have it installed atm. Never had a reason to get steam... I will have to if they dont release a hard copy of Mod Warfare 2

So the only PC version that will be available will be the game itself? Thats a hard slap to the face IW. A very hard slap.

It's not like you will be missing out on anything. All the Harden edition comes with is an artbook, steel case, and it's a downloadable token for Call fo Duty for the 360 and PS3.

But the box art is awesome! And I want that booklet, its got more features!!!

Well, its like they just turned their backs on the PC gamers, who do so much for the PC versions of the game, such as mods, skins, etc. which keep the playerbase at a respectable level. Then they hype us up with these fancy addons such as artbook, NVG's, etc. Soon, they'll just forget about developing for PCs and stick with consoles.

+1 to that Beta.

Hurray for the use of the slippery slope fallacy!!!

All Infinity Ward did was halt the production of a special edition packaging filled with useless crap that you'll forget about in two weeks after buying. While yes, there is far more money to be had in the console market...it is doubtful that Infinity Ward will be dropping support for the PC. *

*The PS3 maybe, but that mostly due to Activision threatening to drop support for the system.

Yep. The PC version will see community support with mods, skins, maps, weapons, free official maps, Admin support, and etc. Basically the only thing the PC and PS3 versions don't get is the exclusive map packs for the 360. I'm getting the Hardened version for the 360 because I can get it for free.

Well, they are probably hoping on the smaller kids to want to buy all the extra stuff, mainly the cheap NVGs. They realize like 80% of PC gamers go off the internet anyway, PCs are almost fully over digital distribution, it's such a huge part of the market that they probably didn't think it was worth it.

I was planning on getting that...
