Their has to be a way to just remove the sound file, or turn it off clientside.

Make sure you get a lightweight notebook. I have seen people with these heavy rigs, they just end up living on the coffee table.... :-(

Has anyone found out how to turn the hudhints squishing sound off with a console command? It drives me nuts playing jail, then you have to freeze looking at a spray.. SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH

maybe your maps are corrupt so the CRC failed. Try to delete and redownload maybe?

did you try deleting your clientregistry.blob file in your steam directory? it will clear your steam config, and verify your game files. It takes about 10 minutes, whenever I have had any problems I do this and it usually fixes it. If that doesnt work try to uninstall and reinstall steam.

I'm not a fan of the idea..... I enjoy playing with the larger group instead :-(
