I am so glad you found this piece, it is amazing. This really clears up a lot of things concerning the differences between the butterfly knife and other melee weapons. If only everyone who plays TF2 reads this article, there will be much more understanding about backstab mechanics, and less raging.

The problem with engies and medics is that they control the flow of the game, and if they have only a tad of an overpowered weapon, it can destroy the flow of tf2. Soldier gets so many weapons because it usually does not decide the course/outcome of the battle. So, leave medic alone if you don't...
