War Thunder is one that I highly recommend, along with Planetside 2. Both are great games, though War Thunder may be a bit unbalanced at times.

ASUS makes some good laptops, but the native resolution on the <$800 laptops are mostly 1366 x 768. You may want to wait a tad bit for the newer laptops using Haswell, AMD's new Richland APUs, and Nvidia's new GT(X) 700M line to come out in full force on laptops. Otherwise at that price point...
