I know the html motd was causing some crashes and/or disconnects, but hadn't heard of it causing lag spikes. Either way, you can try the following in console: cl_disablehtmlmotd 1

I've had intermittent lag-spike issues this past week in DoD:S, DotA 2, and War Thunder. They never last that long (1 minute or 2), but they're very annoying. Instead of trying to track down the problem, I'm going to ignore it and hope it goes away. :)

I imagine once it's colored in, the lettering will be much more difficult to see. Either way, looks pretty awesome Dreddlaw

I ended up cancelling my subscription. After 6 hours with one character, I was still just doing solo quests and farming. After 6 hours in WOW, I think I would've at least done a couple instances or got to PVP. I enjoyed ESO, but it feels too much like a solo-experience. I'd rather just play...

It's a free mod using the source engine. I'm downloading the windows client now (1.6 GB) from moddb.com, and at 45KB/s it's going to take about 10 more hours to download. Looks pretty cool though from what I've seen on youtube.
