He said free... Those are very far from free but they do come with trial time. I believe a month long
On another note Finalcut is an Apple only application.
If you have Windows I would go with Windows Movie Maker. It's really not that bad for being free and if you go to Windows main site you can download add-ons(effects and tools I believe)
If you have a Mac stick with I-Movie. It's there free version of Windows Movie Maker and it's really really good for free. In my opinion better then Windows version.
I think Avid also makes a free version of there software but its no where good as Windows Movie Maker or I-Movie.
There are others out there but those are the top 3 that pop into my mind.

ya I have to agree with ChocolateVillian on this situation....go with Microsoft Movie Maker
I'm actually in film school trying to be an editor I have all of these, honesty if you can just bootleg these i would!
Ya i downloaded Windows movie maker 2 and it is cool, i made a short movie of me playing TF2. But now i have another problem. I added some music to it and youtube removed the music lol. Is there anyway i can rename my song for it to play on my video? I didnt steal the music..
