Microsoft Windows
Itunes has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

Then it gives you 2 options to click.
Check online for a solution and close the program
Or
Close the program

At the bottom it says view problem details.

I originally thought the DEP Data Execution Preventation was the problem so i disabled that entirely for windows but still no go. No virsues or maleware and registry seems fine Seems like I am in over my head help please!

Comp Specs
Intel Core Duo-T9600 2.8 Ghz
4 GB Ram 1066
64 Bit OS Vista Home

Have you tried compatibility mode for XP? If that doesn't work, you could try reinstalling.

If that doesn't work...
...I'm out of ideas.

I don't think a reinstall would help as it sometimes does it with other programs.

What do the online solutions say?

Compatability mode, reinstall to windows xp or windows 7, or try different programs? DEP makes some of the programs cancel out as a security measure.

I dont want to go down to xp because I wont be able to use all of my ram so Im thinking about upgrading to windows 7 but... ugh more money..

If compatibility mode doesn't work I'd try reinstalling the program. Or uninstalling it all together.

As a lot of people here have suggested, you need to try reinstalling first.

1. Back up all of your music either to a different harddrive or to a different folder
2. Completely uninstall Itunes (I suggest using Revo Uninstaller)
3. Make sure you download the proper version of itunes and reinstall

I love Revo Uninstaller. Such a great too.

I think itunes released an update a lil while ago, so if you cant get it to work try installing the updates off of their site maybe that can be of some help
