Hi guy i jus got TF2 today and i was thinking SWEEET THIS WILL BE GREAT!! but then it wasent so great : (. it said it needs at least directx 8 to work but my computer said i hade direct x 9 or sumthin. i wen onlinae and downloaded directx 8 and installed and it still came up with tht msg. and 1 got a aolution??

It should work with directx9, you might want to check out the steam forums for help.

HeadShot - Make sure your monitor is connected to your geForce 5 card and not your onboard. (I just mentioned htis in your other thread). It should be the bottom video plug not the one where you plug your keyboard and mouse into. If you were accidentally using onboard it might show that your geForce5 has directx 9 but your onboard may not and thus would error. Switch your cable to the right connection and see if that solves it. P.S. Dont forget to turnt he computer off whne you switch the cables.
