Company of Heros Disc?

Ok So my bro had boughten Company of Heros and i like to play it so sometimes starting last month it says that it needs a disc to play even tho i bought it off steam. Anyone know why (It still works occasionally)

It's an internet/DRM issue. You have to be logged on for it to play. It connects to an internet server to validate your game rather than validating the disc.
