Basically. I need a new power supply as I'm running off of a 550Watt power supply. I need help getting a good power supply that will power my system well without spending a fortune. Can someone help me with this because I don't know much about AMPS, Watts, Etc. My video card sometimes crashes, and ATI told me it was because my power supply is not able to power all the stuff in my system the way it's supposed to. I prefer to buy from NewEgg if possible.

Some have asked, yes I'm on a budget and I plan to get here in a couple months.

Absolutely can't beat this power supply for the price.

Tuniq Ripper 1000w - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817611009&Tpk=tuniq ripper
Its only $80 after an $80 rebate. It goes for $160, it will be more than enough but why not?? i mean its only $80 for 1000w!!!! This thing has received good reviews from websites and i can personally tell you that its great and can't be beaten for the price. This is my reccomendation.

Every time I've relied on a rebate I somehow ended up not getting the money from the company.. There's a reason they have rebates, they know you won't get your money...
Maybe i'm wrong.. just my opinion

yea it depends, i used my parents credit card and they never complained about not receiving a rebate or anything so im guessing they got theirs, not only the Tuniq power supply but from other PC components.

Its all your choice man, the other PSU i would recommend would be a Corsair one, either the 750tx or 850tx if your concerned with price. I would go with the 850tx since its $10 more, its $90 and $100 with rebates, $110 and $130 without. But you don't like rebates so lol idk its all your choice.

no, its a rosewill. go with OCZ/Corsair/Tuniq/Antec/Thermaltake. just not rosewill.
lower quality products that might die on you, and something as important as the power supply, you need it to be high quality.

newegg owns rosewill.. google it..

and what about BFG? I love BFG.

You really cant go wrong with any Corsair PSU.

Exactly. Getting an off brand power supply, regardless of the cheapness, it's going to cost you in the future. Get an Ultra X3 850 watt or a Corsair TX 850.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4494091&CatId=2535 1Kw (1000 Watts) PSU.

That is the PSU I got for my build and it's been wonderful. I've monitored the power output during all sorts of tests and all of the rails stay stable. No extreme drops or anything when starting up a game. It's a solid PSU and even though it's cheap, it's very good quality.

It's a little more than you need, but it leaves you options for if you want to do any major upgrades in the future.

ya you don't need to spend 150+ on a decent PSU - i've never had psu troubles with the cheaper option...and thats why i said in my first post to get the cheapest you feel comfortable with - if the original poster doesn't want to get something that isn't the highest quality name brand, then he doesn't have to

and jync you should probably not continuously double/triple post - bad forum etiquette...just edit your previous posts
