Flash at Night?

Hey guys, :P

There onces was a flash map at night.
But now we havnt got that option anymore, why not?
Becaus i really liked that flash_night map. :drool:

Was it too much lagg? Or whatelse is the reason its gone?:crying:

I would be nice if the first map is day, 2nd night, 3rd day, 4th night, 5th day,,,andsow on:)

It can be requested and an advisor or DL can put up a vote. If it passes we'll change it to Flash@night.

But cant we do that there always will be a vote at the end of a map-round? :O Becaus if there is no admin, we cant ask to change it to flash_night.
And i think many other people, who are not an admin, also like flash_nightt.
An idea maby? Or not posible?;):P
 
The point of having a 24/7 Flash server is, quite simply, to have a 24/7 Flash game. The flash_at_night map is a novelty. It's nice to play every once in a while, but we certainly won't be getting a server for a night map(s). There's no point in having a vote at the end of every map, because I'd be willing to bet that a very large majority of the time, it will fail.

Our public players come to our servers for consistent gaming; we aren't going to make a server rotate off every cycle to a variant map just because a few people want to; we'll lose regulars (and thus, business). This means if you're going to go to all the trouble of trying to change the map, DO NOT try to get a revote every 20 minutes. We have enough trouble keeping the servers clean is it is, much less dealing with occasional mapvotes.

24/7 Flash is 24/7 Flash, and it's the same with every other server we have. If a majority wants to change that for a while, it "can" be changed (note "can" here).
 
It was just an experimental thing at the time, im sure if it is voted upon it can be up on the flash server every now and then.
 
We currently do not have dod_flashatnight loaded on the Event Server so it is not an option at this time. Incidentally, when I was still helping with events it was a map I had intended to get added in a large map pack. Unfortunately, other things have gotten in the way since then and that map pack was not added.
