Good to see you on the TF2 side man! Try each class for a few hours to see which one you like. You might even like to play more than one class which always keeps things interesting. As for tips if you search the forums/youtube you can find loads of info/tutorials.

taunt kill people. It is the best way to play on every day

Hi BB ...

Hang in there - you'll pick it up real quick...

Look forward to seeing you on BlackMesa sometime...

I have question... if im a spy. HOw long will i be a guy from the other side? And how can the other side detect/find out im a spy?

And do i get points/score for healing people?

as a spy player, you need to know this: spy is the HARDEST class to play in TF2. you have to practice it to get good at it okay? okay, now that thats out of the way....

1: you stay disguised until you attack with anything OTHER then the electro sapper, when you attack you can redisguise but it causes smoke with your teams color to go around you so watch out (unless cloaked when you START to disguise, if your cloaked when you start disguiseing its invisable)

2: people randomly spycheck by attacking anyone, you can go through teammates so when people find they cant walk through you obviously your a spy, sometimes people see they're name on you and know, sometimes people will notice you walk slightly too slow as a medic or slow as a scout, but most of the time its when a random pyro lights you on fire which DOES'NT go invisable with you, (my advice is to run away from or kill the pyro and then find a healthpack or medic, either one if they heal you will put out the flames)

as a spy you will stay in disguise until you attack or change to a diff disguise (when that happens others will see smoke around you and know your a spy) Alot of people have spider sence and can usually tell a bad spy right away, other than that your teammates can walk through you and enemies cant, so that is how they can tell you are a spy. Hope that helps.

And Doomcat ninja'd me...sigh.

Any other help in how to play spy, watch spy vids that teach you how to play as spy or just watch spy frag vids like mine :) posted on this forum ;) can be found here:

Hey, glad to see you decided to give TF2 a try. And don't worry about changing Divisions bud. Insurgency's still my primary Division, even though I play TF2 quite a bit. We're just happy to have you on the TF2 servers when you decide to log them :p. As for tips for playing...that's a hard topic, as there really aren't any specific tips I could provide. It's all really just based on play-style.

For instance: I spend a good portion of my time playing Demonman (favorite class, currently...used to be Pyro). What I like to do is ricochet a few regular grenades around corners to weaken anything that might be awaiting me (usually in enemy bases or around capture points). At this point, I usually switch to my 2nd weapon slot (the remote detonated sticky grenade), and move into close quarters with my foe(s). It takes a little skill, but these little buggers can be devastating if you know how to time your explosions while the grenade is still in mid-air, around a group of opponents. Another tactic (although defensive, instead of offensive) is to lace a doorway with Sticky grenades. You can 8 planted at any given time. I like to lace both sides of a doorway/vent shaft/window with a roughly equal amount. Now, just take some cover (make sure to keep line of sight on your grenade zone, so that you can see incoming foes) and wait for some poor sap to walk into your deathtrap. I usually keep my weapon on weapon selection 1 when I use this tactic, just to fire a few grenades into the hapless foe(s), in case the initial blast doesn't take everyone out.

Hope that helps, wish I could provide some more tips. Another useful strategy is to watch some gameplay footage on YouTube, and see what tactics other players use...or just try everyone out, until you get a feel for each class! :D
