This is what im hoping to get.
My mom is a little convinced that I need a new computer being that my laptop requires a ice pack to cool the adapter down.I'm wanting a build that will be future proof, and the 295 will most likely drop in its price when the 3 series comes out.

All I need is someone who knows what they are talking about to make sure everything is compatible with each other. I've checked but just want to be sure, because I might start ordering parts soon. Well, I hope.

Everything is compatible.

I would reccommend taking a look at the i7 860 instead of the 750, as the 750 will bottleneck that GTX 295 without a pretty good overclock(4Ghz+). The 1156 chips don't overclock as easily as the 1366 due to the built in PCIe lanes, so a 4 Ghz overclock might be a little difficult. The 860 has hyper-threading, so it can run twice as many threads as the 750 simultaneously, not to mention it is 140Mhz faster stock. The 860 is really the sweet spot for 1156 right now. It's only ~$100 more.

I would also recommend looking at the 850HX instead of the TX, as it is modular, provides more 12v power, is more efficient, has better ripple suppression, and better voltage regulation. It is $50 more, but if you plan on using this rig for a long time, you will probably make that money back on electrical payments. It will also be able to power more if you want to add in another GTX 295, as well as an additional card for dedicated PhysX(9800GT) in addition to the 295's.

Don't forget a disc drive(unless you already have one).

All in all, looks like a good build. :)

Everything looks good. Some general notes:

i5 is $150 at microcenter if you have one near you, or you can get an i7 920 for $200 there as well.

I'd maybe wait until you can get a 5870 for $400 instead of the 295, but if you are willing to spend the money, go for the 295.

Might consider the Thermalright TRUE heatsink, highly regarded as one of the best.

I'd skip that hard drive and go for this WD 750GB Black for $70 plus free shipping. It is twice the size, faster, and about the same price. No brainer!

ahhh the TRUE, its age is beginning to show lol. It can keep up but its starting to fall back, unless you get like an epic TRUE EXTREME LAPPED and all that. The megahales, V10 are somewhat taking over.

I know everyone hates the V10 but its actually not that bad, the TEC just doesn't kick in 100% but the load temps when overclocking stay at a fairly stable average. Its pretty beast and it shines when the temps on the CPU get high, its meant for hot chips.

As for your build.
I say get the new ATI 5 series cards or wait for the Nvidia GTX 300 series.

The cooling is fine but it doesn't match up against things like the Prolimatech Megahalem air cooler, its better than mid-range air cooling though but doesn't beat high end air cooling.

Try to get the i7 920 from Microcenter for $200 and an Asus P6T for around $200, much better than the i5 750 and will be more future proof, especially when you overclock it to 4.0ghz.

thanks guys. ill switch some stuff around. i also figured by the time i get the video card the 300 series will be out. so the 295 will be cheaper.

I actually built my new pc just a few weeks ago with a HAF 932 and it is a simply superb case.

Plenty of space inside, the screwless features are extremly practical. The space between the back of the motherboard and side panel for cable routing is just fantastic, my case is so tidy which helps to provide an excellent airflow. And on top of all that it also looks great, Its a nice simple but cool look without to many leds like some cases.

I just cannot fault it to be honest.

Since I've just recently had a run in where this SAVED MY BUTT, I'd recommend getting a RAID config set up with your hard drives. A raid5 is best, but any will do.

It'll cost you for another hard drive. But it's so worth it to have that kinda fool proof-ness.

Question to PewPew: where can I find the i7 for 200? That would make my day.

And for PSU, check out XFX's psu. It's an ugly beast, but reviews on it are great, good stable power, high efficiency, and great heat resistance.

Microcenter.

yup Microcenter........but you have to have the store nearby, its an in-store deal only. They actually sell all the processors alot cheaper than Newegg. i5 750 = $150
i7 920 = $200
Phenom II x4 965 = $189
Core 2 Q9550 = $170
i7 860 = $230

they have a lot more processors, thats just some of the ones i remember off the top of my head.

It's ugly, the HAF that is.

I'd have to agree but it's great for cooling. To be honest, if you have a bit of extra money, going to get liquid cooling, and want a practical great looking case, check out the Corsair Obsidian 800D. It's amazing!

Really? No AMD proc suggestions? I'm running an AMD Phenom II 955 Black Edition....(MUCH Cheaper than an i7, esp. considering the MoBo choices) and it clocks on-par with a comparable i7 (via Si-Soft's Sandra). I do realize that the power/cooling requirements are a bit steep compared to an i7, but for a $460USD total system upgrade (MoBo, Proc, PC3 mem, 750w PS) not shabby at all.

wattttt naww i like it..........but its all personal opinion and preference. No doubt about it everyone has their own view of the HAF. Some like it, some dont. I personally think it looks pretty sweet, better than the plain Antec cases. Its got the military look and feel to the HAF and the airflow is unbeatable pretty much.
