TF2 Movie Recording config with GUI

this app is not recorder it is just a gui for the source one which can be a bit cumbersome for people who rent familiar with the source cli this is how i always did my vids for source games

Yea I was going to say, That'd be awesome for a recorder. Fraps is a total pain to run for 90% of people.

fraps just works but it kills your fps and cost too much for such a basic program all it is doing is copying frames from the video cards framebuffer to mpegs and recording the stereo mix of the pc which is making your video card work twice as hard and lowering your fps.

but this method can take a long time sometimes say if you force it to recored at 60fps and your computer cant keep up it will still make a vid at 60fps but it may take longer to render each frame
