Hey guys :) I thought yall could help me out in picking up some new computer components for Christmas. So here's the deal :

I need to find good things but for some lower prices, since Nov. 30th, I'm going to Disneyland and it's pretty much my HUUUUGE Christmas present. So I want to ask for some better computer components for somewhat lower prices. I picked something from BestBuy (I know, BestBuy really isn't the BEST computer place but it's close to where I live :P ) and I don't want to buy a completely new computer.

Alright here's what I picked :

Western Digital - Caviar black 1TB Harddrive

NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB

Kingston Technology - Platinum Series 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 Desktop Memory

Tell me if I need something else. I really don't know computers THAT well. So go easy on me :)

Graphics Card -$110 Cleaner Memory Interface :)

Can't beat the HD Deal and excellent choice.

Memory -$52 Corsair, MUCH better.

What's your current rig? I may suggest other components.

Lol you don't wanna know my rig. It's too old. I have no choice but to upgrade only certain parts of the computer. I can't spend 1500 after another 1500 i just spent. :P

The $160 9800 GT is way overpriced. Last week Bestbuy had a BFG GTX260 for only 10 bucks more on sale .

It would be helpful to know your whole rig. The 9800GT may require you to upgrade your power supply to power it. Also, if your computer is old enough, DDR2 might not work in it either, and there might be a memory cap on your motherboard or on each dimm slot. Post all of your specs (especially power supply) and your total budget, and we'll help you pick out the most cost effective upgrades to get you going without breaking the bank.
