Rate my new rig out of 10 :)

lol can't really rate it.......its definitely not the best but it might be good for you.....compared to my opinion of a gaming computer, its like a 4/5

Mine as of now compared to my opinion of a gaming computer is like a 7.5 atleast until i upgrade my graphics card to epic 5970 when the price drops then it will be like a 10 lol

You can't really rate as PewPew said. If that's all you can afford, then that's all you afford.

As for my standards...2/10. Would like to see a quad core, a better graphics card, more RAM(DDR3 would be nice), a better case. Of course, I don't know what motherboard you have or your power supply, so I don't know about about those parts.

Well yeah, I meant rate by just your opinion out of 10, will that mean anything to me? Well no, but I just want to know by your guys' standards what you think out of 10.

i give it a 3.5

i give mine a 6

i give laptop with intel graphics a -9

just so you can see my scale

Phenom II X2 550 3.1ghz
ATi Radeon 4890

8

The 9600 keeps it from true perfection, but it's still a nice card.

What OS are you running?

6/10
The graphics and DDR2 ram kill it.
good CPU and PSU, meh mobo
and the case shouldn't be factored into the score.

If the 9600 is a temp card, then by all means it shouldn't count in the numbers. However, a GTS 250 is only around 130, and it will tide you over better, but for a temp card it's all preference.

I would stay away from that mobo, even though ASRock is becoming better. I'm not sure how much it costs but you can probably find something better at the price point you want.
And yes, DDR2 kills it. DDR2 is becoming overpriced in terms of price/performance because it's pushing more toward enthusiasts, since the market has now adopted DDR3 as the standard.

Numbers wise, I would say 4-5 out of 10.

6/10

My rig:
Nforce 650I
GTX 275
Q6600 @2.4 (will OC later)
750W PSU
6 gig Corsair ddr2 800mhz
640 samsung 7200rpm HD
Vista x64

like pew pew said, it might be good for you, but if you really want to know my standards....I have to give it a 2.5 :( you lost a couple points from me because of AMD.

sorry! a little outdated for my tastes. Not that it matters what i think tho.

i give that gaming rig a 5.5/10. its almost the same as what i have. you don't need ddr3 to game, ram has no bonus in gaming. that CPU is still only dual core but its one of the greatest dual cores you can get with that price tag...you could OC that thing to 3.5-3.8 ghz. and that video card is very underrated...if you overclocked it you could play some new games at very decent frames.
