yep..... everytime i try to load a a steam game.... like CS:S my computer will restart, and it is at random when it will do this. sometimes it goes... sometimes it will not... idk y

i was wondering if anyone had this problem. before and could help.

whenever this happens.... its just like i restarted, and then its all good for like.. till i try to load an other 3 games.. then on the 4th it will do it... idk y..... i check for viros and and i scaned a lot.. soo. it think it mgith be something wrong with my steam

my little brother did change his acounts to his just so he could have the name... and idk if you aloud to.. cuz. you could get some free games off of it like that.. soo.....

yeah.....

if anyone has any adivce they could give... or if they know the problem... message or post :D :D

This one is different. How your brother changed the accounts to his is interesting. I mean did he just gift all the games to another account or physically move the data to another account folder? The later could be the reason for the restarts. If he was trying to change usernames to the account that is impossible.

umm... no he just changed the hole account...... sometimes when someone is to just DL a new game... you could glitch wail is DLing and then the game would be on that comp... but you could use other accounts.... this happend to me by acsdent and me and friends found out how it works.. but.. thats something els...

no... no message came up... but... before all of this.. when he did change account... steam just stoped working.. and i got a error message... i googled it.. and everyone just said i had uninstall and then reinstall the steam.. and now im here....

try uninstalling steam, and then deleting the steam folder in the C drive. Then re-install

kill zone that wouldent realy work.. i don;t think cuz that is how i uninstalled it ... then reinstalled it............................

i think it might be......

Would you mind posting your system specs? A list of your 'driver cocktail' would be helpful as well. List versions and revision dates if possible.

We can take a look at your revisions / versions and give a better stab at your problem. From what I'm reading, you most likely have a core system error. Restarting is a high-level security required function. It can also be triggered be a system (Hardware or OS) safety function. We should know more when you post more about your system.

Mainly, Steam wouldn't cause a restart without giving you a specific error code, etc. So we need to take a deeper look into your OS and drivers.

If you need help posting your specs, let me know! I hope this helps ya!

Another thought: A helpful tool for system info... CPU-Z.
