Overclocking 5850

i already know the ram im getting, and im running amd so i cannot run triple channel. there are some benchmarks comparing 3 gb ram to 6 gb ram and the boost is significant in even FPS, noticed HERE. so yes i can get 4gb but i will eventually run 8gb ram since i cannot run 6.

THIS is the ram i will be getting. decent price for a great speed and awesome timings for said speed at low voltage (so even plenty of room for overclocking)

just get 2x2gb and 2x1gb

thats exactly what im doing right now.........i was actually supposed to do 2x2 + 2x2 but the person that sold me the ram didn't realize one set was only 2x1 so i have 6gb instead of 8...........i still got it for a really good deal tho of around like $60

ya you always get a discount when you buy in bulk, so unless i got a really good deal that was less than half the price of 2x2 would i only get 2x1 to make 6. plus i if i ever wanted more in the future, i would need to repurchase. so might as well further futureproof and get it all when i want/can
