wil. now its just giveing me a page could not be displayed thing... D;.. i cant accept anyone friends or nothing.. D;.... this sucks

Check your internet connection settings in your settings then downloads. and if that doesn't work you could always uninstall steam and once that finishes delete any file left over (make sure it is all the way off your system) then go install steam once more

that could fix it or you just wasted time following a simple solution that didn't work.

I have never completely uninstalled steam before, I think that's just a waste when there are OTHER ways to fix most if not all problems.

The #1 way to fix almost all problems with steam:

step 1. close steam

step 2. delete OR rename (you choose) this file:

C:\program files\valve\steam\ClientRegistry.blob

step 3. delete these files:

C:\program files\valve\steam\Steam.dll
C:\program files\valve\steam\SteamUI.dll

step 4. restart steam (it should perform a steam platform update)

and by this point most problems are solved WITHOUT having to completely uninstall steam..

Glad that helped :D remember that trick for future incidents

If you actually look on the Steam help faq's that is the solution they give to 90% of all problems

Uninstalling Steam is a waste of time in most cases, you have to redownload games and whatnot. Why waste time when you can just force it to update ;)
