I love my Asus dvd drives, best I've ever had.. Too bad they stopped making them..
The one he listed will work fine. Honestly, it's nearly impossible to get a drive that can't do anything these days. Just make sure you are getting SATA and read the reviews, if a lot of people are having serious problems it might not be a good choice.

another cool thing.. is making your computer thing that you have other CD-rom and DVD reader drivers... 
.... deamon tools is a probram that takes takes files and makes you computer thing you ahve the disk ....
(example) lost you deiablo2 playdisk dont want to go out a buy one.... just DL the play disk
use demon tools and then you computer wil think you have the disk in a CD/ DVD rom
