Wintec AMPX any good?

Anyone have any experience with Wintec?? the specs on this ram don't look too bad and the price is also good.......alot of the reviews on newegg are unreliable because they dont know to use XMP profile which runs the speeds at 1600mhz.........instead they are getting 1066 etc...

So anyone know if these are any good??

i don't see what the problem is. i personally think ram is ram...just get the most at the fastest speeds and best timings for the lowest price.

Seems like ok stuff. Haven't really heard of the Wintec brand though. I'm more of a crucial man myself.

Speeds, timings and price all seem good.

looked at some reviews of it on the web and it seems fairly good......able to compete against more expensive options atleast

Might just go with OCZ.....they do better in reviews

I agree with junk, RAM is RAM, its all made in pretty much the same factory anyways, just with different logos on them.

I've got 12GB worth of it across a few systems, been running fine for me for a couple years. I have it in my game server (8GB) and it hasn't had any problems...


but! I haven't had any problems when buying their 2 x 2 = 4GB sets... I did order once a 1 x 1 and it didn't work... but that was once.. I also had that happen with a set of Kingston... also had it happen with lots of things... of course the more stuff you order the more likely you are to get a bad one now and then.

yea......i might just go with OCZ because it performs better in reviews and the price is about same......cheaper with rebate actually but rebates are pains if they dont go through
