need some upgrading help

okay well i have never upgraded a computer and i want to use the AMD Phenom II X4. (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727)
now im on a tight budget (don't really know how much but don't go over board)
my dad says i need to upgrade my motherboard, so is there anything else i need to get?

my specs:
Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory:
2048MB RAM
Hard Drive:
320 GB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS

the 955 is the same as the 965 just with a lower base clock. (get the 955)

Good innexpensive AM3 mobo
For AM3 you will need new ddr3 ram:
4gb ddr3 ~$80


If you have more budget, get a better video card like these:
5850 ~$300

5770 ~$170

GTS 250 ~$120

any of these cards are good.
