Camera Model is JVC GR-D30U

There's like connector under the window thing.

Firewire is the standard computer connection for most Digital Minidv Cameras. Most people use a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable. Any firewire card and matching cable should allow you to use the camera to import into any video program, and should make it able for you to use it as a webcam.

depending on your firewire card you will need a 400 to 600 cable or a 800 to 600 firewire cable

Yeah ^, On the new macbook pros they decided to ditch the 600 and go to 800 so I had to buy a converter and new cables for my cameras.

ya for me that helped

i mainly use the firewire for a few hardrives and a mbox2pro so not needing to use adapters or 400to800 cables is nice now.

I mostly use cameras and things for firewire, the standard is 400 to 600 so it kinda sucked when they upgraded it.

If im not mistaking that's a i1394 connection local computer shops have them for like $20 and yes it will work you will have to get a cord that has that same connection on both end at your local computer shop for about $5-10 I use to all ways use that connection with lil cameras like that and when I was in school I would hook a canon sl1 up to my laptop with that same connection
