iTouch a cell phone?

I read this article on yahoo news and it seems cool

basically an app that uses WiFi to make phone calls $15 a month, which is a pretty good deal if you live in an area with lots of wifi hot spots. Works on both the iPhone and iTouch. I'd try it if wasn't on my family's cell plan.

What are your guys take on this?

If I am not mistaken, tMobile already has this idea with something called "Hotspots".

Of course, this isn't for a specific model, it's a paypermonth feature.

But, it is a very good idea, especially for peeps in rural areas with no cellphone towers.

Those are amazing phones as well, but I just love having the touch screen on the iPhone, and the texting is amazing for me
