so there I am finally getting the hang of bfbc2. I am starting to play pretty good. I start off in the ego server, the one with the desert map that is set to conquest. After really getting some serious points I decide to join a more populated server with a lot more eGO's in it. I am playing, our team is loosing, but I am getting some decent points. Around 1500. All of sudden my pc logs off and restarts. Freaking windows auto updater....

That happen to me before. It's quiet frustrating. Even more knowing all your progress is registered only at the end of a game and not in real time.

That does suck. Even though I have windows set to NO UPDATE, it still does sometimes. Also make sure you have your anti-virus set to not download. I was playing a few weeks ago and I am sure I set it to update when the computer is idle, but I didn't take into the fact that there was an update a few days prior.... which likes to mess up my settings. I was lagging like crazy and didn't know what was going on, than the game crashed and the desktop showed the nice Norton Update screen. To say I was upset wouldn't do it justice.

I never download updates. That's untill windows forces me to do so.

Also, I haven't used a AV program in like 2 or 3 years.
Frequent formatting does good for your rig! : )

Wow that sucks, man. I have Vista so I just turn User Account Control completely off along with any other automatic updater.
