... for more than 10 minutes before getting disconnected.
This started happening yesterday after what seemed to be yet another Steam update, I could load and join any game - DoD:S, TF2, RnL - just fine, but then after 10 or 15 minutes I'd get booted out with an error that basically said "Couldn't connect to the VAC server at this time, please consult steam technical support." So I went over everything that was suggested - I made sure I had no viruses, I made sure my firewall wasn't blocking steam, I made sure my router wasn't blocking steam... nothing is wrong or different than it has always been for years now.
I don't have a clue what the problem is, and I have no idea how to fix it. Has anyone else been having problems like this? Have you found a way to fix it? There's a few people who have posted on the Steam forums with similar issues, and no one has a solution either.
So... I guess until whatever the problem is resolved (Which I assume and pray to God is on Steam's end) I won't be playing
