Hi guys,

I've been on a vacation for 2 weeks. When I came home I really wanted to play Day of Defeat BADLY. But when I started Steam it gave me the error: "Fatal Error: Failed to Load Platform modules" and Steam crashes. I've tried re?nstalling and deleting all the registry keys. It worked the first time I started steam but on the second time it gave me the same error.

Anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks in advance!

Also tried that, and renaming it. I've also tried settings the language to english in regedit but none seem to work.

Hmm I?ll give that (once more) a try. I'll let you know if it worked. How do I make sure I delete everything that has to do with steam? Just to be sure it's a complete re?nstall.

That might be good. Also, try running it as a administrator

I would go into My Computer, and delete the entire Steam folder, any shortcuts in start menu, and desktop shortcuts, then delete any reg entrys and go from there

if you dont have it - DL Ccleaner, its free and works well at cleaning up bad reg entrys aswell as temp files, etc

Do all your uninstalls in SAFE MODE! Tends to help remove installations better.
