Considering buying Bad company 2. opinions?

So my primary game that I play has been Day of Defeat source and battlefield 2..

I've read great reviews and such about BC2 but I just wanted to get a few opinions of the game of all the positive, and negative (if any) aspects.


Your help is much appreciated because I don't want to drop 50 bucks on a game that I'm not thrilled with, BUT if it is comparable & better than BF2 then I'd definitely want to get it.

Pros:
1. (mostly) balanced weapon system
2. easy to navigate server listing
3. looks absolutely beautiful
4. gametypes are very fun (rush, conquest, etc)

Cons:
1. EA's servers are known to be... unreliable
2. lots of servers + not as many players = many empty servers

Overall:
BUY THIS GAME!!! I was in the CoD division until I bought this game and decided that I had to make this my primary division. It is more fun than any other FPS i've played, with the exception of may be CoD2.

Thanks man. I wanted to wait for at least 5 replies before making my decision, but after watching like 5 trailers my mind was made up immediately.

There's a learning curve, big one with the gravity physics and bullet delay. Plus earning the "perks" is a pain when you lack them and everyone is running around with Magnum Ammo.

Yeah. I found that out the hard way by playing single player, thinking I'm chill behind a brick wall then the wall explodes and I'm dead. haha.


So considering that no FPS that I've ever played has a completely destroyable environment, this will take some getting used to.

More importantly I Effing LOVE IT so far.

This game is amazing...anyone else considering it should purchase it without hesitation. If you use a voice chat such as Ventrillo or Voxli, it gets even better once you have some friends to form a squad.
