Oh how i wish DoD:S had a shotgun

well the game strives to be realistic to the WW2 era. There were shotguns in the war, rare maybe, but if i was there id carry the extra weight... come on, come around the corner omg GERMAN, BOOM!!!!!!! dead, now that would be some fun gaming! what u guys think
 
yea i always hated shotguns in games. They were pretty much unbeatable in any close range map or area...i dont think so
 
Worked well on Quake 3, and they're pretty fun on Gears of War on the XBOX, but it just doesn't seem like it'd work on DoD for some reason.
 
ya its unbeatable close range, but, long range your SOL, its the short range compartive to the sniper rifle, Long range extreme, and have a short range counter part
 
lol TF2 would work but I think there should be, if not the shotgun, then more weapons in general! Maybe flamethrowers! (though you could just go to TF2 for that too!)
 
it would be easy to win cuz if u rush u def. have the game wif shotguns
 
I actually think one of the older versions of dod had a shotgun. It was one of those maps where you got to play as the british(I could be mistaken though).

shotguns would be awesome to have in dod:s

you know what though a shot gun in TF2 takes multiple hits to kill some one, and for showing its lack of realism(not meant to be for this type of game) You still gotta hit a guy with a rocket a few times to kill him, or send 50 rounds from a mini gun into his back before he dies, or a scout that can leap long distances, while pounding you on the head with a baseball bat, i was super excited to see what they would do with tf2, but its basically TF classic, just new graphics, i was totally dissappointed, but thats just my IMO.

and also. Ive played DoD for about 6 years now( est) ever since 1.3-4 CS era and i cant seem to think of a shot gun. I know of the brit guns, (enfield, bren, sten, pistol, scoped En), and all that but cant remeber ever seeing a shotgun
 
Shotgun, would be like instant kill. Like this:

Carne [Shotgun] Redspike
Carne [Shotgun] Redspike
Carne [Shotgun] Redspike
Carne [Shotgun] Redspike
Carne [Shotgun] Redspike
Carne [Shotgun] Redspike...and so on...
